Printing with Cocoa-mmmmm

I just randomly stumbled upon this very exciting story on silkscreening with cocoa on blue collar press’s website. I love when people print with unconventional materials, and the way they describe how the idea and poster came to be truly highlights the concept of chance in art and graphic design. (i think of the dadaists and hans arp, how he would let the scraps of newsprint fall and let that inform his compositions)

for anyone who’s spilled some wine on a t-shirt or chocolate, or bike grease, or left a tea bag on top of some paper, and said “cool” instead of “oh sh**t” this is an inspiring story of someone who took it to the next level. i love how the poster became a subtle scratch and sniff.
