WFMU Free Music Series and Book Party

Last night I attended the second in WFMU’s free music series at Southpaw, which was also a book party for The Best of L.C.D. : The Art and Writing of WFMU. It was really fun, and packed, with WFMU fans watching the bands upstairs, or congregating in the WFMU book party that was downstairs. Dave the Spazz who compiled the book was signing copies, WFMU DJ’s were spinning, and cheap beers and good conversation were had by all. It was a fun event and exciting to see the book hanging out in public for the first time.

Definitely check out the book which is 400 or so pages of great comic art and music writing that is a real survey of the wacky wonderful world that is WFMU. It was published by Princeton Architectural Press. And designed by Splendid Corp, who feels lucky to have been able to get involved with this cool venture.
